On Shedding The Year of The Snake

And welcoming the Year of the Horse (+ an exciting announcement!)

Chile, we made it I guess. What a year 2025 has been. As we prepare to wind down for the holidays and spend some much needed time with loved ones, I wanted to share some wisdom on how the energy of 2025 has prepared us for 2026.

In the Chinese Zodiac, 2025 is the year of the Wood Snake which highlights the transformative nature of a snake shedding its skin. From a numerology perspective, 2025 is a 9 year which is associated with the completion of karmic cycles. Both of these energies speak to a year of culmination and clearing, shedding outdated patterns, and massive change. Whether you’ve felt this energy on a personal or collective level, this year asked us to release our grip on the identities, people, and patterns that are no longer serving us so that we can let go of outdated cycles and start over.

From an astrological perspective, we’ve navigated intense, once in a lifetime transits that astrologers have been waiting for and have long seen as indicators of a period of intense collective change. We had the North Nodes and South Nodes shift into Pisces and Virgo, Venus retrograde through Aries & Pisces, Neptune and Saturn moving into Aries, Jupiter shifting into Cancer, and Uranus moving into Gemini — just to name a few. All of these transits created the perfect storm of disruption and chaos for a new foundation to be built and lasting change to take root. So if you’re feeling tender as you adjust to your new skin and grieve the parts of you this year has forced you to let go, please be gentle with yourself. It’s all part of the process designed to support us in stepping into the fast paced year that is 2026 with solid footing.

When it comes to 2026, we can expect to start to get our groove back and experience the forward momentum we’ve been needing to bring our dreams into fruition. 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse which is associated with forward moving energy and breakthroughs and a 1 year which is associated with new beginnings and initiation. From an astrology perspective, after months of retrogrades in the later half of 2025, Neptune and Saturn are re-entering Aries, Uranus is re-entering Gemini, Chiron is entering Taurus, Jupiter is shifting into Leo, and the nodes are shifting into Aquarius and Leo. 2026 will be offering us abundant opportunities to move our lives forward with passion, innovation, and stability and we love to see it. However, it’s important to note that many traditions celebrate the New Year in February (Lunar New Year) or March (Spring Equinox) so if you’re still shedding, releasing, and integrating when January 1st hits, you’re right on time.

If you’re looking for support in reclaiming your life and show up authentically in 2026 and beyond, I would love to introduce you to my first signature program, Reclamation Studio! (Ahhh!)
